We are proud to present the 10th edition of Maestro Magazine, a special December issue bringing together outstanding musicians, educators, and young talents connected with the Universal Maestro Society.
On the cover of this issue is Fidel R. Castro, founder and general director of the IBP School of Music in Peru — an educator whose vision and methodology are shaping a new generation of pianists. His in-depth interview opens the magazine and offers valuable insight into modern music education, discipline, and long-term artistic growth.
This edition also features interviews and artistic portraits of exceptional laureates from UMS-affiliated competitions, including:
• Bobby Kostadinov – cellist, Absolute Winner of the Haydn Online Music International Competition
• Carla Morosanu – one of the most promising young pianists of the international competition scene
• Hiram Reategui – a continuously developing pianist and multiple international prizewinner
• Alberto Cartuccia Cingolani – an inspiring young pianist with extraordinary musical instinct
• Gualter Silva – composer whose work No Ventre da Mátria was praised for its depth and originality
• José Andrés Álvarez – composer blending classical, contemporary, and cinematic language
• Luise Bold – a widely recognised and remarkably gifted young pianist
• Milana Gontsova – the youngest award-winning opera-style vocalist
• Zeynep Temel – a rising opera singer and Absolute Winner of the Fenix Award
Each interview offers a personal look into the artists’ musical paths, daily work, inspirations, and future dreams — from early childhood discoveries to international stages.
We are deeply grateful to all artists who shared their voices and stories with us.
This anniversary issue is a celebration of talent, dedication, and the educational values that stand at the heart of Universal Maestro Society.
