The CS competition was full of exceptional personalities and it was very difficult for the jury to choose a few ABSOLUTE WINNERS from such a number of great musicians! In the end, the Artist of the Season was Mengge Li, pianist. She gave a very engaging interpretation of Japanese composer Karen Tanaka. An exceptional event was the award to Kip Winger, a rock star and acclaimed brilliant musician. He submitted an excellent composition, “A Parting Grace”, which can be heard on YouTube. The wonderful young guitarist Deniz Işık presented a perfectly executed programme, also worth a listen! The final winner is an outstanding bassoonist from Poland, Ludwik Kozlowski, who bravely performed Introduction and Polonaise by Carl Jacobi.
